Gov. McAuliffe Commemorates Virginians with Disabilities Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe issued a proclamation commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Virginians with Disabilities Act and the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

These landmark measures were enacted to encourage persons with disabilities to participate fully and equally in the social and economic life of the Commonwealth, as well as to protect the civil rights of citizens with disabilities and allow them to be contributing members of their communities.
