Updated VDH Guidance on Ebola for Health Care Providers

In response to the continued concern about travelers bringing Ebola into the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and various states are issuing updated guidance for treating travelers coming into the country who have spent time in West Africa.

Dr. Marissa Levine, Virginia’s Health Commissioner, issued an updated guidance this week for Virginia clinicians.  Click this link to see the Commissioner’s letter.

In addition, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is maintaining an Ebola page on its website to provide guidance for health care providers and facilities. Please check this page frequently to see the latest information from both VDH and the Centers for Disease Control.
