Beverley Soble to Retire

Beverley Soble, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, has announced her plan to retire on December 31, 2014.  Ms. Soble has served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for the Virginia Health Care Association (VHCA) since October 1985.  She has led VHCA’s efforts to address state regulations on quality of long term care, federal survey issues and issues originating in the Department of Health, Department of Social Services and Department of Mental Health.  Ms. Soble is well known and respected by state regulators and legislators as well as VHCA members.

Steve Morrisette, VHCA President, said “Beverley Soble has been a tremendous asset for VHCA’s staff and members.  She has become VHCA’s institutional memory and can advise members on a variety of issues based on knowledge and experience.  Her knowledge of long term care regulations and issues will be difficult to replace but we wish all the best for Beverley in her retirement.  She is truly one of a kind and will be missed.”

Beverley Soble has worked with the Virginia Center for Assisted Living Committee, the Education Committee, the Regulatory Committee, the Quality Committee and the Nurse Scholarship Committee during her tenure at VHCA.  She has made valuable contributions to those committee members and has been a strong voice for VHCA members.
