DMAS Publishes CCC Provider Reference Guide, and Other CCC Updates

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) has published a Quick Provider Reference Guide specific to the CCC program on their website.  According to DMAS, the guide includes, among others:

  • Background information on CCC
  • Health Plan (MMP) contact information
  • Credentialing process
  • Service authorization requirements
  • Sample ID cards
  • Appeals

Additionally, as a general reminder, DMAS also maintains a CCC website, containing general CCC information.

Finally, there have been no reported changes in the locality participation status for CCC since the last update on September 10th.  There are still a handful of localities in the Charlottesville/Western and Roanoke regions that are not eligible for automatic (Passive) enrollment.  Additionally, only three of the eleven localities in the Northern region will be live for automatic enrollment coverage effective November 1st.  In all cases, a change in locality status from optional to automatic enrollment for CCC requires 60 days’ notice to eligible recipients prior to their effective coverage date, which can only occur on the first of any given month.
