Free Questionnaires Available to Measure Person-Centered Care Practices

Questionnaires were released this week for assisted living communities to measure their person-centered practices. The Toolkit for Person-Centeredness in Assisted Living includes questionnaires, called PC-PAL, for both assisted living residents and staff. Also included in the toolkit are instructions for scoring the questionnaires and interpreting the results. The toolkit was developed by researchers at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill through a partnership with the Center for Excellence in Assisted Living (CEAL).  The project was a community-based project that included a wide array of stakeholders, including assisted living providers, residents, and family members.  The toolkit is free and is available for download on CEAL’s website and the UNC Sheps Center.
