LTC Billing and Claims Management Workshop Scheduled in July in Two Different Locations

Revenue cycle management, encompassing claims submission and collection, is becoming more complex and challenging for Virginia’s nursing facilities.  The transition to managed care for the majority of dual eligible beneficiaries receiving services in Virginia facilities places a much higher priority on the need for accurate and efficient claims submission.

The Long Term Care Billing and Claims Management Workshop, presented by Mary Lynn Wright, Revenue Cycle Consultant with The Wright Group, LLC, is a one-day course developed to provide a comprehensive review of third-party claims management for the long term care setting.  This session is designed to prepare business office personnel to successfully convert services provided to cash via the claims submission and collection process.

The skill-building workshop will provide attendees with the knowledge necessary to achieve a high rate of clean claim submission while decreasing risk of denials.  Payors addressed in this session are: Medicare A/B, Traditional Virginia Medicaid, managed care, and the transition to Commonwealth Coordinated Care (CCC) for dual eligible beneficiaries.  Each payor type will be introduced and specific practical best practice approaches to claim development and submission for each will be covered.  In addition, updates regarding upcoming regulatory changes will be provided.

Attendees will receive information to:

  • Successfully convert services provided to cash via the claims submission and collection process.
  • Attain a higher rate of clean claim submission while decreasing the risk of denials.
  • Review and analyze contracts for claim filing requirements.
  • Identify key Commonwealth Coordinated Care operation and financial issues of importance to nursing facility providers.
