Help Needed From Assisted Living Providers

The National Center for Health Statistics is currently conducting the 2012 National Study of Long Term Care Providers (NSLTCP).  Of the 11,700 assisted living and similar residential care communities invited to participate, only 38% have responded.   We have learned that assisted living communities in the following states have lower than average response:  AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, OR, PA, SC, TX, VA, and WA.  Since VA is among those states with a low response rate, if your facility is contacted we encourage you to participate in the national study to ensure that NSLTCP is as accurate as possible.

By law, all data collected and released will be kept in strict confidence and used only for statistical purposes and no individual provider, staff or resident can be identified.   Results from this study are expected to be released late 2013.  To learn more about NSLTCP, please click here.
