Myers and Stauffer Acquiring PHBV Partners Medicaid Contract with DMAS

CBIZ, Inc. recently announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the non-attest assets of PHBV Partners, L.L.P., (PHBV), the government health care practice and separate legal entity of CliftonLarsonAllen, effective December 31, 2012.  Concurrent with this transaction, Myers and Stauffer L.C. announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Medicaid contract compliance business of PHBV.  CBIZ, Inc. maintains an administrative service agreement with Myers and Stauffer L.C. The two companies are separate and independent legal entities that work together to serve the needs of their government clients.

PHBV, more familiarly known to nursing facilities as Clifton Gunderson, is a consulting and accounting service firm specializing in health care compliance on behalf of federal and state government agencies. PHBV focuses on Medicare and Medicaid contract compliance, investigative services, performance auditing, and audits of Medicare Advantage and prescription drug program.  PHBV currently operates regional offices in Richmond, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Austin, Raleigh, and Cranford, New Jersey.

Myers and Stauffer has Medicaid compliance contracts with a large number of states across the country.  According to representatives of the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), the Department is currently revising its agreement with PHBV in a manner that will allow Myers and Stauffer to fulfill the remainder of the current PHBV contract.
