AHCA Extends Deadline to Submit Intent for 2013 Quality Award Program

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy many facilities are still struggling with clean-up and restorative efforts.  As a result, AHCA is extending the Intent to Apply deadline for the 2013 AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award program by two weeks.  The new deadline will be November 15, 2012. The extension applies to all facilities nationwide, not only those in the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The Intent to Apply deadline is not mandatory, but applicants who submit the Intent to Apply will receive a number of benefits which include:

  • Reduction of $200 in the overall application fee at each award level.
  • Regular communications from Quality Award staff with deadline reminders and tips on applying for the award.
Questions regarding the Quality Award program, including technical support on the Intent to Apply process, can be directed to quality-award@ahca.org.   More information is available on the Quality Award website.
