On October 1, 2012, the Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program started to flex its muscle as Medicare penalizes hospitals for unnecessary readmissions within 30 days of discharge.  While the initial focus will be on patients diagnosed with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), pneumonia and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) and Sepsis are also on the radar.  Your facility’s operating performance can affect the hospital reimbursement rate and revenue.

  • Hospitals are actively seeking post-acute providers that can manage patients effectively.  Are you ready to compete?
  • Have you taken a close look at your clinical and operational systems?  Have you implemented communication systems to proactively pick up on subtle clinical changes - before they become a crisis?
  • Do you have processes to quickly and effectively intervene when there is a decline in status?

Hospitals are zeroing in on readmission rates.  Are you on the radar screen as a facility that is at high risk for readmissions?  Learn how to position your facility as a high performer and enhance your relationships with referring hospitals. The program is being offered in Roanoke November 14 and in Richmond November 15.  Special thanks to our program partner Gulf South Medical Supply.
