NCAL Announces New Bronze Award Criteria for Assisted Living Members

The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) is proud to announce a new component to the AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards program with the newly established Bronze Quality Award criteria specifically designed for NCAL members.  This nationally recognized program has three award levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold with the Bronze Award as the first step in the Quality Award journey.  The benefits of participating go beyond receiving a quality award. Applicants to the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award undertake an assessment of the community’s mission, vision, and key elements of its performance improvement process. Participation can improve operations and demonstrate your community’s commitment to delivering quality care and services. AHCA and NCAL have observed that quality award recipients have clearer priorities, better quality measures, improved staff retention, and reduced staff turnover. Resources are available that make it easy for providers to complete the application process on the quality website.

Members can begin the process today by downloading an application from the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award website. The application packet includes instructions, the Bronze criteria and the application format.  For more information and applicant resources visit qa.ahcancal.org.
