AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program Silver Recipients Announced

The American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) is excited to announce the recipients of the 2012 Silver – Achievement in Quality award. This is the second level in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award journey and recognizes a significant step in the journey towards performance excellence.  This year, 52 facilities across the country achieved the Silver award. This represents 17% of applicants, double the success rate from 2011.

The 2012 AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award recipients will be recognized on Wednesday, October 10 during the Closing General Session of the 2012 Annual Convention and Expo in Tampa, FL.  AHCA/NCAL is also hosting the National Quality Award Recipient Reception on Tuesday, October 9 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.  The event will honor the 2012 recipients and provide attendees with an opportunity to network.

Congratulations to the following Virginia facilities that received the Silver award:

Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Richmond
Heritage Hall - Leesburg
Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Leesburg
The Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lynchburg

Please note that the Gold Quality Award notification will be made August 15, 2012.  The Bronze Quality Awards were announced in the May 24th issue of the CareConnection.
