Auxiliary Grant to Increase January 1st

On December 6, 2013 the Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services (DARS) notified Eligibility Supervisors and Long Term Care eligibility workers that effective January 1, 2014 there will be an Auxiliary Grant (AG) Rate Increase of 1.5 percent statewide.   The grant amount will increase from $1,196 to $1,207.  Rates in Planning District 8 (Northern Virginia) will increase from $1,375 to $1,388 based on the 15 percent differential. The personal needs allowance will remain at $82.

DSS Announces July 1st Auxiliary Grant Increase

The Department of Social Services (DSS) sent a letter to assisted living facilities announcing the increase in the Auxiliary Grant (AG) rate effective July 1, 2012.   

The AG rate will increase by $14 per month statewide from $1,136 to $1,150.  Rates in Planning District 8 (Northern VA) will increase from $1,303 to $1,317 due to the 15 percent differential. There will be no increase in the personal needs allowance. The personal needs allowance will remain $81 for 2012.

The Department of Social Services has notified us that effective January 1, 2013 there was an $11 increase in the Auxiliary Grant (AG) rate statewide.  The statewide AG rate increased from $1,150 to $1,161.  Rates in Planning District 8 increased from $1,317 to $1,328 with the 15 percent differential.  The personal needs allowance increased by one dollar to $82.
