Each year the Virginia Health Care Association (VHCA) and the Virginia Center for Assisted Living (VCAL) recognizes our leaders in post-acute and long term care facilities at the Awards Banquet held during the Annual Convention every fall.  VHCA celebrates the outstanding achievements of administrators, nurses, volunteers and others who help make possible the delivery of high-quality long term care services within Virginia’s nursing and assisted living facilities.  Please nominate those individuals you feel are worthy of this recognition.  The Recognition Awards are the highest honor that can be received by long term care professionals and volunteers in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In addition, the D. A. "Woody" Brown Community Involvement Awards Program recognizes VHCA/VCAL facilities that demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and creativity in a program that encourages and supports strong community relations. Facilities are encouraged to submit scrapbooks of text and illustrations which exhibit successful facility-based programs.  The deadline for submitting nominations is June 1st.
