REGISTER TODAY - Reducing Antipsychotic Drugs in LTC Program Scheduled for October 17th

Based on quality measure information, more than half of the facilities actually INCREASED their average rate of use antipsychotic drugs in the most recent quarter.  VHCA is offering a full-day program on reduction of antipsychotics and effective non-pharmacy approaches to personalized care.  The program, planned in collaboration with VHQC (Virginia’s Quality Improvement Organization) and the Community Partnership for Improved Long Term Care, will focus on roles of the physician, pharmacist, Director of Nursing, Medical Director and psychologist and their respective challenges for the most appropriate approaches to address behaviors in the long term care resident.  Hear from a panel of providers about their successful programs to reduce inappropriate medication.
