Hare to Join VHCA Staff

J. Keith Hare, currently Virginia’s Deputy Secretary of Health & Human Resources, will become Vice President of Government Relations for the Virginia Health Care Association (VHCA) Stephen Morrisette announced today. “I am delighted that Keith Hare will bring his exceptional experience in government relations and health care advocacy to the VHCA staff.  I have known Keith for many years and have nothing but the utmost respect for his knowledge of health care policy and his commitment to association management.  VHCA members will greatly benefit from Keith’s experience in Virginia government and his previous work for two other Virginia associations representing health care providers” he said.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Hare was Director of Government Affairs for the Medical Society of Virginia from 2005 to 2010 and Director of Public Affairs for the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association from 2000 to 2005.  He also served on the staff of former Congressman Bob Clement from Tennessee and as a political consultant.  Mr. Hare holds a BA in Communications from the University of Tennessee and is currently working on a Masters in Public Administration at Virginia Tech.

Keith Hare will join the VHCA staff on October 1st.  Keith and his wife Emily have three children ages 9, 7 and 2.
