Upcoming Free Webinars from the Geriatric Mental Health Partnership

The Geriatric Mental Health Planning Partnership, in cooperation with the VCU Department of Gerontology and the Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health, has announced the next series of webinars dedicated to Mental Health and Aging Training.

The first of the three webinars, Behavioral Disturbances of Dementia: Interventions to Reduce the Use of Psychotropic Medications, is scheduled for March 28; the second webinar, Best Practices in Geriatric Psychiatry and Long Term Care, will be on April 22 and on May 29, The Temporary Detention Order (TDO) Process: What Staff Need to Know.  These events are made possible through a grant from the Virginia Center on Aging's Geriatric Training and Education Initiative.  All of the webinars are FREE and are scheduled from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.
