Geriatric Mental Health Partnership Announces Third Series of Mental Health Webinars

The Geriatric Mental Health Partnership recently announced the third series of mental health webinars made possible through a grant from the Virginia Center on Aging's Geriatric Training Education Initiative.  Registrations are now open for the three webinar sessions available at no charge to participants. The announcement describes the three training events designed for staff from multiple disciplines and settings (both facility and home-based), as well as behavioral health staff, staff from Adult Protective Services, home health, adult day care, respite care, Area Agency on Aging, Ombudsmen, Emergency Department staff of acute care hospitals, hospital discharge planners, and others serving older adults.

Webinars will be conducted from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. EST.  Following are the dates and subjects for each webinar.

  • Medications: Friend or Foe? The Role of Medications in both Causing and Curing Behavior and Cognitive Problems - Tuesday, May 6, 2014
